If you’re looking for an easy, enjoyable walk through beautiful scenery, this is a must!
We love that you can literally just park and walk right up to the falls, or walk your pup on a nice, shaded sidewalk trail that welcomes bikes, scooters, longboards, or strollers. We even saw multiple families with little kids just learning to ride their bikes on this trail.
Dog policy : dogs are welcome, but must be on leash at all times.
Since there are lots of families with kids that walk this trail, if your dog doesn’t do well around kids, this is important to keep in mind. It’s important to keep them leashed at all times too since some kids/families may not be comfortable around dogs.
Also, if your pup is like Honey and tries to chase down anything on wheels, this could be stressful, with all the bikes and other wheeled things around—all just good things to think about when deciding whether or not to bring your pup.
Otherwise, it’s a great place to bring them and a fun experience to enjoy the walk along the great Provo River.
Depending on the year you come, the river may be more or less of a rushing river. We’ve had enough rainfall that this year’s river has been very full and we saw lots of people up river, river rafting.
You can also hike all the way up the falls, which was a really cool experience for our little guy. We didn’t have the right shoes to go very far up, but we saw others doing it!
They also have little picnic tables along the trail and it was kind of fun this time around we spotted a little ice cream truck near the falls too.
