We took a trip to Dollar Tree and found all the cutest fairy houses for the garden! They also sell a great selection of seeds — two for $1.25, and hose nozzles and solar lights — all for $1.25 (although I hear prices will be rising slightly at Dollar Tree soon due to tariffs).

After picking up some soil at Home Depot, and some big rocks from our yard, we got to work digging out the flower bed in our backyard.

Then, we grabbed some flowers from the clearance section of our Smith’s and started the flower seeds we found at Dollar Tree.
We just used a Jiffy seed starter tray kit but you could even just use an egg shell carton to keep it even more economical—remember to get your little ones involved! It’s like a living science experiment for them, and so fun for them to see them watch the sprouts grow!

We came across these stepping stone and birdhouse paint kits and thought they would be a fun addition to the fairy garden.
If your dogs like to dig or get into plants, just make sure the flowers you add are non toxic.

And this is the final result…what do you think?
