The biggest tulip festival in Utah is held every year at Thanksgiving Point’s Ashton Gardens. The only problem is, dog’s aren’t allowed!

Each year it just gets bigger and bigger, with new flower varieties and art installations to amaze—and this year was no different. With 900,000 flowers planted, and new topiary displays and paper lanterns added to the gardens—it has been a truly beautiful and breathtaking show of colors and blooms.

The best time of year to go is mid-April when you can catch both the blossoms and tulips, but weather around this time in Utah can vary a lot, so keep an eye on the weather forecast!

The Tulip Festival is amazing for hooman guests, but for furry guests—this is our solution—explore the grounds of Thanksgiving Point near the Water Garden Tower for a free, dog-friendly walk through equally beautiful tulips and blossoms.

Just be aware, some parts of the grounds may be closed as they host private events there, but there are still plenty of paths that still offer beautiful blooms, such as directly behind the Butterfly Biosphere, where you’ll find a nice bed of tulips, as well as a secluded area.

Another great way to include your pup in the beauty and fun that Thanksgiving Point has to offer is to take them with you during Dog Walk Wednesdays hosted each year at Ashton Gardens.

Have you found somewhere you like to enjoy tulips together with your pup in Utah? Let me know in the comments! I love hearing about new places we can take our pups! 🐶💕
