Dog Friendly Farm/Petting Zoo
Have you taken your pup to a petting zoo? 🐐Not all outdoor farms/petting zoos are dog friendly so you may want to call in advance if you’re not sure , but these are great places to not only have fun new experiences, but also socialize your pups and help expose them to new sights, sounds, and smells. Just keep in mind you may need to practice in smaller, more controlled settings if you have a reactive dog and you’re not sure how they’ll behave around other animals.
Honey gave the saddest puppy dog eyes every time I’d try to take lil bro out to enjoy something fun—I decided, even if it’s more inconvenient and more work, I’m bringing along Honey to as many fun things as possible this spring!
That’s why I’m sharing kid-friendly AND dog-friendly activity/outing ideas like this one we enjoyed at a local petting zoo here in Utah @crosseranch — this was such a perfect choice, although a longer drive away—there are plenty of activities that your puppy can come along and be a part of too! 🐶
Our pups only have so many summers with us, and they deserve to live enriching lives and be a part of as many happy memories as possible (not to mention it’s great for us hoomans too to get out of the house and get some fresh air)! ❤️
Keep your babies close and capture the special moments with @chatbooks and SAVE 💰with our CODE: HONEYBOO (they make perfect Mother’s Day gifts too! 😉)
Garden Center
Another place you’ll want to call ahead to make sure dogs are allowed locally, but we love going to @highlandgardens and @cactusandtropicals in the fall and winter months too, but it’s especially exciting once they open for spring with all of their new plants and flowers!
A great place to not only let little ones enjoy beautiful blooms and enjoy the smell of fresh flowers, but also be inspired and get ideas for your own garden (planting a garden is also a great activity and way to involve little ones and pups alike!)
