We are so excited to celebrate little brother’s second birthday coming up, and had to start pinning our dream party decor, food, and activities on Pinterest of course!
These are some of the initial pins of inspiration, but keep reading on and scrolling to see how it all came together and turned out IRL! 🦖🦕
I started with the digital invitation to kind of give me an idea for colors and some of the elements I’d want to include for the party.

We had our whole front entrance blank wall to work with, so we used that for a little photo op wall with a bday sign/banner and had the bench for presents. I planned on green streamers for making it feel more like a dinosaur jungle, and loved how the twirled look gave more depth and dimension to this very big wall to fill!
You can shop everything in my LTK store here, or keep scrolling for a more in depth explanation of where I found everything.

Read my article here, about how to make your own dinosaur cut outs like these that I used for the wall! And of course, we had to add balloons because this was going to be the first thing little guy saw when he came down the stairs on his special day too!

I loved adding the Dollar Tree dinosaur footprints on the wall — our little guy loved waking up to them and following them down to the main surprise!

For the record, I was actually quite impressed with the quality and variety of dinosaur themed decorations Dollar Tree had—and at a fraction of the price of decorations I found elsewhere—including on Amazon or Walmart.
The jungle leaves tablecloth, stegosaurus plate, colored 8”/9” plates, napkins, gift wrap, dinosaur puzzles, wooden crafts, paint, paint brushes, footprints decals, masks, birthday hats, wall mural plastic covering were all from Dollar Tree.

Meri Meri has cute dinosaur candles on Amazon that look almost identical to these I found at HomeGoods for $5 — also a unique find at my local HomeGoods was a T-Rex topiary we added to the decorations in front of our TV.

We repurposed his playroom shelf into a little display with all his favorite dinosaur themed books and dinosaur toys.

This cute arts and crafts caddy was a Kohls find, and I used it to hold the utensils, napkins, and cups. I’ll still probably use it even after his party for his arts and crafts supplies.

The dinosaur caution signs were an Amazon find, but honestly, you probably could make some of these just out of cardboard too if you wanted to, although they’re pretty cheap for a whole pack of them.
Also found on Amazon were the pin the tail on the T-Rex game, dinosaur happy birthday banner, dinosaur standing balloons, and grass table skirt.

We served watermelon, apples, and had a homemade Cafe Rio salad bar, along with the cutest dinosaur-topped strawberry cupcakes in the shape of the number 2. The toppers were just cut outs I bought from Michael’s on clearance for like $3 and then my MIL was kind enough to hot glue them onto the toothpicks and match them with a cute primary colored cupcake liner.

It was just a magical day for our little guy who loved having family over to party at our house and little friends to play with! He was truly spoiled and showered with love with the cutest gifts—including this dinosaur train set, which is compatible with Brio wooden train sets (which he was gifted for Christmas), so it’s just perfect for the dinosaur theme!
All of his gifts have been a hit with him! Including this tough Tonka dump truck, Bluey keepy holy game, and Bosch toy workshop!

It was a fun day, and we got to start his actual birthday with dinosaur pancakes too, which just kept the dinosaur theme going all weekend!
