We had so much fun, throwing our little guy’s first birthday party at home! Family from all over were able to come and celebrate. We have such talented family that put together the most gorgeous balloon installation and most beautiful and delicious cake!
Big shout out to @decorbyfayth for the balloons and @cakesbykoto for the cake!

We decided to go for a one happy dude theme with a blue white and black color scheme and incorporated that into the digital invitation I made in Canva as well, which you can snag HERE for your little one’s own party.

Matching outfits are a must!
Okay so a breakdown of all the little details—I wanted us all to have matching outfits so I found this “One Happy Mama” tshirt for me, “Dada” for my husband to wear, and this adorable checkered outfit that I thought went perfectly with the theme for our little guy. We also got him the cutest lil checkered “vans” – looking shoes (and of course totally forgot to even put them on during the party! But definitely got some cute pics in photoshoots afterwards!)

Little touches to share baby’s growth
I love the baby’s first year wooden photo boards, but because I’m always leaving things to the last minute, none of the personalized or custom boards on Etsy were going to be done in time for the party. Which is where good ole Amazon came to the rescue! 😂
I went with this option, because although not customized, I liked the price point and the simple design (although there are options for personalized boards even on Amazon).
I also could’ve gone with a bigger size, but was just thinking it would be just a little one I could keep as decoration in his room (it measures 17” L x 12” W) without being too ridiculously big and taking up a whole wall or something.
Finding anywhere that would print the photos the right size (you have to print them 2” x 3”) was surprisingly challenging (there wasn’t an option at our local Walgreens/CVS) so I had to resize them myself and print two to a page, so just be aware of that!
