Honey’s grooming routine to stay healthy

A healthy poodle grooming routine is essential for keeping your pup happy and looking their best. You’ll need to brush your poodle daily to remove dirt, debris, and tangles from their coat. This should be done with specialized poodle brushes or combs that are designed to reach their dense coat. During shedding season, brushing should be done more often to help reduce the amount of fur that your pup sheds.

It’s also important to bathe your poodle regularly. Depending on their activity level and the type of coat they have, this could mean every 4–6 weeks or more often. Be sure to use a shampoo designed specifically for dogs to avoid irritating their skin. You also don’t want to bathe them too often so you don’t strip them of their natural oils and cause dry skin too.

We get her professionally groomed about every 4–6 weeks, which is what’s recommended. At each grooming we pay a little more for them to trim her nails too, which is recommended every 3–4 weeks.

By following these simple steps, you can help your poodle stay healthy and looking great!
